House Renovations & Refurbishment, Essex & London
Ground Floor House Renovation - Enfield
In this house the owner had been experiencing problems of damp, caused by ingress of ground water, for some time. The water ingress had caused considerable damage, including the destruction of the hardwood timber floor.
Two specialists had previously attempted to correct the problem of damp, without success.
Our solution was to strip out the entire ground floor of the house and install a new drainage system externally and a specialist cavity membrane tanking system internally to eliminate the water ingress.
The floors were reinstated using engineered timber wood strip flooring and limestone for a truly authentic finish.
We also re-screeded the floors and re plastered the walls, replaced the electrical and plumbing systems, fixed new joinery and fitted a new kitchen before re decorating.

Atrium Renovation – West Hampsted
This large scale insurance project resulted from the large bough of an oak tree falling onto the 3 storey glass atrium of a 1930’s house in West Hampstead. It was at first feared that the atrium would need to be demolished and rebuilt, but we were able to complete a successful renovation, saving a huge expense.
We brought in a structural engineer to assess the roof strength and condition and we recommend the structural remedy.
We removed the roof and installed steel cant beams as recommended. There was significant damage to the ash framework of the atrium, caused by both the incident and the poor original design, which had allowed water ingress, which had in turn rotted much of the timber framework. We replaced the ash timber framework as necessary, replaced the roof and the maple hardwood floors, in a project taking 20 weeks to complete.

Kitchen Refit – Peterborough
Working on behalf of an insurance company, this project involved a kitchen and conservatory refurbishment which had been flooded in a large house in Peterborough. An earlier contractor had attempted the renovation but had made a very poor job and we were asked to come in and put the job right. We ripped out the newly installed kitchen and installed a replacement Tom Howley kitchen, to the customer's delight.
