Refurbishment Bishops Stortford
This project arose because a culvert had overflowed and flooded the ground floor of the house. We stripped out the kitchen and floor coverings. We applied a chemical damp poof membrane to the existing screed throughout the ground floor. Replastered the walls, fitted new joinery, and new kitchen units and decorated throughout the ground floor.

Water Leakage Repair, Colchester
We were called in by Sedgwick Building Consultants to make good the damage caused by a defective water pipe.
The work involved removing the artex ceiling above the indoor swimming pool. At this stage we discovered that asbestos was present in the composition of the artex. We provided a working platform above the swimming pool to allow our asbestos removal contractor to remove the ceiling in a safe manner. They then drained the pool and disposed of the contaminated water in an approved manner. We then re-plastered the ceiling and decorated throughout.

Complete Refurbishment of Victorian House, Woodford Bridge, Essex
We completely refurbished the property from top to bottom. The client was keen to keep the Victorian features such as fire places, doors, floor tiling in the hall, cornices and ceiling roses, rim locks/ door handles, finger plates and floor boards which sanded and sealed. The kitchen / family room was contemporary - modern cabinetry, bi fold door Karndean floor covering and down lighters (see installation kitchen page). The bathroom sanitary ware was modern but the floor and wall tiling was Victorian style (see bathroom modelling page). We landscaped the garden using the York stone paving which we found buried in the garden.
